Start with one clear reason to listen
Write a sentence that names the problem, story, or surprise in the episode. Use that idea in the episode description and your announcement. Give people a direct link to the episode page or their preferred listening app.
Choose a moment that works on its own
Listen for a short exchange, useful answer, or memorable line that needs little setup. A clip should make sense to someone who has never heard of the show. Avoid a teaser that ends before it delivers any value.
Make the clip easy to watch or hear
Add readable captions, check names and technical terms, and watch the exported asset with sound off. Prepare a vertical version for short-form video and a square version where that fits your channel. For an audio-only episode, an audiogram can put a visual frame around the excerpt.
On eligible published Scroll episodes, the creator can select a range and make a captioned video clip or audiogram, then save or share the asset. This is a creator-directed step; check the result before posting it elsewhere.
Share with a destination and a question
Publish an announcement for followers, share the clip on the channels where your audience already spends time, and link back to the full episode. A specific question from the conversation can invite a useful reply. Adapt the text to each channel rather than pasting the same caption everywhere.
Review what happened
After the initial posts, look at episode plays, downloads, and listener response. Keep a note of which excerpt and message you used. For the next episode, change one thing at a time so the comparison teaches you something.
